Luke 24:13-35, known as the "Road to Emmaus" narrative, depicts two discouraged disciples encountering the resurrected Jesus, who they fail to recognize until he breaks bread with them. Jesus teaches them that the Messiah had to suffer to fulfill Scripture, turning their despair into joyful, mission-driven faith.
